Patience – an important virtue in psychic development

Having patience is hard.  It sometimes even sucks.  But, you know what, patience is vitally important in any journey for psychic development.  Although you may hear stories of people suddenly having their third eyes popped open and “seeing” everything…I’ve never actually met anyone or known anyone who has had this happen to them.  I am not saying it doesn’t happen, but it just doesn’t happen for the majority of us.

I am here to give you hope on your journey though.  And it is a journey.  I am here to tell you not to give up.  To keep working on your psychic development – even if it doesn’t come to you right away.  Why am I telling you this?  Because this is what happened with my journey – with my development as a psychic.

I have been actively working on developing my psychic abilities for over five years now.  And when I mean actively, I mean daily work.  Even before this time I was passively working on my development – spending a little time now and then towards this goal.  And it has taken me this long to get where I am today – to develop my ability to the point it is at.

Some of you may think – well, if it has taken you this long maybe you are just not destined to become a psychic or deal in the metaphysical world.  But that isn’t true.  One of my life’s purposes centers around my intuitive abilities.  My intuition and psychic abilities are extremely valuable to my life path and who I am.  I have had this confirmed personally from my guides and also from a trusted psychic.  I know this my purpose and my path to be a psychic – to develop these abilities.

And that is why patience is so important.  Energy is subtle.  It is difficult for us dense human beings to “feel” and “see”.  It takes time for us to raise our vibrations.  To experience and learn about energy.

This is why – you need to be patient with yourself on your journey.  If this is something that you feel deep inside is important to you – stay with it.  If you know in your heart that you are meant to see auras – then practice seeing them everyday (or at least a few days each week).  Keep at it.  Keep finding things that encourage and inspire you.

Personally, I still practice my psychic skills and build my intuitive muscles each and every day.  What does this look like practically?  I ground my energy, balance my chakras and cleanse my aura every morning.  I put up my psychic protections and cover myself in white light every single day.  I also spend a little time – even as little as 30 seconds – looking at my aura in the mirror (usually while giving myself reiki).  I psychically check my energy for the day, as well as the world’s energy each day (which you can read on my instagram/facebook/twitter pages).  This allows me to practice and strengthen my clairvoyant/clairaudient abilities a little each day.

I’d like to say I also meditate daily.  I’m pretty decent at mediating most days of the week – but for me sometimes this is not as frequent as I would like it to be.  I do engage in some for of meditation the majority of the days of the week.

So that is my daily practice – what I do each day to develop psychically.  I’ll usually add additional exercises weekly, but these are things that I can be consistent about.

It is with this consistency and patience that I now have the connection I do with my guides and my abilities.  This practice has taken patience.  It has taken time.  We all have our own unique journey.  Some of you may be lucky enough to get your psychic abilities blasted open with one exercise or healing session.  For others of us this is a journey that requires patience.  Patience is indeed a virtue.

So take this message to heart and know that it is normal to feel like your progress is going at the pace of a snail.  Heck, a snail is actually a spiritual sign as their shell has a spiral on the back symbolizing spiritual awareness.  So be patient with yourself and your abilities.

So, in case you totally missed the message here I will spell it out clearly.  Be patient.  Psychic development takes times.  Take it slow and be amazed at how far you will soar!
