Meet the Spirit: Shirley

A woman is coming forward. She has brown hair that is to her shoulders and has tight waves/curls. She has the energy of being in her late forties early fifties but has a 1970s vibe to her. She is wearing an emerald green tank top with thick straps, and a long flowing skirt that is brown and has a paisley pattern to it. 

I ask what we can call her and she says that we can use the name Shirley – which makes me smile.

I ask what message she has for us today. She says to be yourself, even if “yourself” does not fit the era or the culture of the day. We are each unique fingerprints and we each have a unique way of moving about. It is when we embody our uniqueness – when we accept the era which is ours to dominate – that we can “sway” our life in the correct direction.

She is relating this to me while swaying her long flowing skirt. This woman has the energy of wanting to be present in the 1970s era but not being born at that time. There is a definite hippie feel to this woman. But she is also wearing blush and makeup – she is embracing this hippie side while also accepting that she is the type of woman who wears makeup.

I get the impression that she is inside a house. One with wood paneling on the walls. This is a message that extends not only to our unique physical appearance but also the place we call home and where we live. We don’t need to make our home look a way that does not feel in line with our own unique selves.
