Meet the Spirit – Andrea

We are at a bowling lane. Our spirit for today is rolling their ball down the lane. Strike! They hit all the pins down.  The spirit turns around and it is taking the image of a young female with brown hair up in high pigtails. She is a young adult or late teenager. She is wearing a navy corduroy dress that hits mid-thigh and a pink long-sleeve shirt underneath. 

I ask her what we can call her and she says Andrea.

I ask what her message for us is today.

She sits down on one of the bowling alley chairs and starts eating her fried chicken fingers. She says “the deal is” you can’t go throughout life expecting to get a strike every time. Sometimes you have gutter balls and sometimes you just hit a few pins down. But, if you look around here – she uses her hand to gesture around the bowling alley – those people that are having fun are enjoying the game more than those that are getting strikes every time and being too uptight and serious.

Life isn’t about getting strikes – life is about enjoying the process. So don’t worry if you have a gutter ball or fail at something. Instead just enjoy the process – just enjoy the act of trying. Enjoy the people around you. Cheer them on just as they are cheering you on.
