Meet the Spirit – Torlto

A little girl is coming forward jumping rope. She appears to be hispanic with dark hair and eyes. She is wearing a henley shirt that is stripped across black, magenta pink, yellow in a repeating pattern. 

She says we can call her Torlto.

I ask what message she has for us today. She shows me her jumping rope then she does a trick where she crosses her arms in front of her and continues to jump rope. 

Life puts obstacles in your path and it is up to you to choose how you get through them. You can just keep jumping like nothing has happened and find the enjoyment in the challenge or you can give up and complain, throwing the rope down and not having any fun. Kids have an innate ability to find challenges fun and exciting – it is us grownups that tell them they aren’t supposed to enjoy the thrill and excitement of trying something a different way. Find that inner child of yours and have fun with the next challenge life throws your way. At least it won’t be boring.
