It seems more and more people are opening up to their empathic abilities. As the vibration of the earth increase so do the vibrations and frequencies we carry making them easier to access. With this comes the ability to sense what others are feeling and to experience emotions at a deeper and more profound level.

Sometimes this can feel like a burden, feeling the doom and gloom atmosphere that perpetuates are environment these days. But, we can also use this ability to our advantage and learn how to use our empathy in a positive and meaningful way.

One way to do this is to learn how to control and utilize these abilities. Most people have realized that the media you consume effects you on deep levels. But what if you can take charge of this and learn to use the media to your advantage?

What am I talking about here?

This is the idea of using movies, music, television shows, even the art you look at to influence you and your emotions.

Many people do this naturally without even realizing it. Do you have playlists built up with songs you like to listen to when you are sad or happy or exercising? This is a form of using the media to influence your emotions.

Let’s expand on this idea. How about using the shows you watch to get you in the right frame of mind for an upcoming meeting or appointment? What if you have an important job interview the next day? What movie would you choose to inspire you to be the person that deserves the job? Can you find ways to utilize these resources in a way that brings about positive change in your life?

Knowing that you are an empath does not have to be a burden. Knowledge is power, right! So how about using that knowledge to your advantage. Instead of letting your emotions be controlled by what you see and hear, how about controlling them yourself and being aware of what is possible.
